Hot Day, Light Spirit – Logging Out, Logging Inward 📝 Diary Entry: 21st April

Morning Vibes:

The day began on a light, soulful note. I connected my phone to the Bluetooth speaker in the conference room and played soft Easter music as the team slowly trickled in. The attendance was thin, as expected post-weekend. I greeted everyone with warm Easter wishes — even if most of them just nodded sleepily in return.

The meeting was short. Barely a few minutes. I simply reminded the team:
“Let’s focus on Line#2 startup. Let’s keep everything aligned. Let’s make this week count.”

That was enough. Sometimes, less is more. Just like good music — a few notes can say a lot.

JPR in Action:
Later, I had a practical one-on-one with our Instrumentation Manager. Not a lecture — just a hands-on example of how to use the Job Planning Register (JPR) properly. How to assign, how to filter, how to follow up. He was attentive, and I think something clicked today.

It's moments like these that shape the system — when even one person starts using the tool correctly, a silent ripple begins.

Evening Plant Round:
The evening walk through the plant took me through the CCR → Kiln → Coal Mill → Raw Mill. The rhythm of the machinery, the occasional shout of a supervisor, and the smell of hot metal and dust — all familiar, yet grounding.

There was a kind of tired energy in the air today. Maybe it's the heat. Or the start-of-week lethargy. Or maybe everyone feels the humidity pressing down on their motivation.

Facebook Drama:
Now, here’s the odd part of the day — or should I say, the digital twist.
Yesterday was Sunday, and I spent the whole day at the plant, including lunchtime. But during one of my quick breaks, I noticed I was logged out of Facebook. Strange. On trying to log in, I got a message:
“Your account has been suspended due to a linked Instagram account brettmorgan_qqdlwexofx violating Instagram rules.”

Wait… who?

I don’t know this Brett. I’ve never made an Instagram account with that name, never linked anything to my Facebook. Somehow, someone must have gained access and tied their shady activity to my account.

I tried recovering it yesterday, tried again today. Then I hit Reddit — and guess what?
A lot of people have faced this. And the common answer?
“Get Meta verification. Pay to play.”
So this is the game, huh?

But you know what? I laughed. Because in the last 2–3 months, I had started using Facebook more — sending birthday wishes regularly, reposting memories, uploading stories. It had slowly become a part of my routine again.

So maybe Zuckerberg thought —
“He’s hooked again. Let’s make him pay.” 😂

But I took a deep breath and realized something:
It’s actually freeing.
No pressure to post. No checking who liked what. No screen glow in my eyes late at night.

I uninstalled Instagram too — though I barely used it. I don’t feel like chasing after this anymore. If it comes back on its own, fine. If not, even better.

🌞 About the Day?
Oh, let’s not even talk about the weather. It’s the kind of hot and humid that melts your motivation by 11 AM. Everything feels sticky. Even thoughts.

But my spirit? Surprisingly light.
Sometimes, being locked out is the best way to log in — into real life.
Into being present.

Let the heat rage. Let Meta play its games.
I’m doing my work. I’m doing me.
